My Dancing Queen

So this weekend was my girl's big recital!  It was a huge deal for her...she was so very excited!  Brookie's best little friend was in dance for the first time this year and we had so much fun with the two girls...I am convinced this made her day twice as special with double the fun.  We made a day of it.  My friend Amy (Lauren's momma) and I took the girls to get pedicures, went to lunch, and then came home to get ready together.  It was a day full of fun, great memories, super cute performances, and plenty of family and friends!  My dad, bless his heart, drove two hours each way to come and sit through the recital, despite being in intense pain.  It was the very first time I have had family that has been able to attend one of our events.  I can't even begin to describe how much it meant to have him there, sitting next to me!

And for posterity, here are a few pictures of my little Dancing Queen.

Isn't she just absolutely gorgeous?!

My girl and I!

My awesome Dad and my sweet girl!

My amazing friend, Sarah, who is a florist, made this absolutely stunning special bouquet for my girl.  She calls it "Brookie's Blingy Thingy" and it was definitely the biggest hit of the night!  :)

We went out to eat with some friends afterwards at Whiskey Creek.  Each of the girls had to take turns on the mechanical bull.  Just call her my rhinestone cowgirl!  LOL!

I know, I know...her eyes are closed.  We took another one together but she was making a super crazy face.  So...even with her eyes closed, this was the best picture of us!  :)

So, here's to my girl...my tiny dancer who loves to sing during her routines.  My daughter who absolutely glows in the spotlight.  My princess who loves to put on her momma's makeup, even if it is just pink eyeshadow and a little bit of blush.  This beautiful, vivacious, amazing girl is, without doubt, the biggest star in my world!
