Contentment...

Tonight I am feeling a deep sense of contentment.  I am happy.  I am blessed.  I have a beautiful daughter and some amazing friends in my life!

Tomorrow is Mother's Day.  I miss my mom and I miss my sisters.  And maybe most of all, I miss my grandma.  But, tonight my friend took Brookie and some other little girls to a movie, leaving me to an unexpected evening of adult time.  A walk with an amazing friend, some wine, and some amazing conversation.  And the surprise?  Brooke came home with a beautiful card and an amazing bouquet of flowers.  She was so proud to give them to me and it seriously made my weekend.  I didn't think I would get anything.  And don't get me wrong, it isn't about the gifts.  I know my daughter will celebrate with me the best she can tomorrow, but she is only six and I wasn't expecting an actual gift.  But this gift, these flowers, are a visible reminder of just how blessed I am!  Besides, I adore flowers!  LOL!

Yes, I am feeling a deep sense of contentment.  Thank you Lord!  And thank you Brian!  :)
