On the road

So I know I didn't do a good job posting here this week! I promise it was on my list but I've been sick and oh so so busy!! 

So, surprise! Brooke and I are headed to Texas for a week!! In my efforts to keep this job offer viable I have accepted an offer to work part-time during the months of November and December with the hopes that the judge will rule in my favor and then I can start full-time sometime hopefully in January. The terms of this part-time contract are that I will work an estimated 60 hours for each of these two months with 40 of them being with a team member. That means my options are to go to Chicago and work with the boss or go to Austin and work with my mom. Guess where I chose?! ;) 

So I took some vacation time and Brookie and I are headed south for a week! I'm looking forward to some quality time on the road with my girl followed by some time with my awesome family and the opportunity to start this new job. It will also help give me time to strengthen my case by checking out local places and the apartment complex I'd like to live in. 

Brooke only knows that we are going to see the family and while I work with mom she will be enjoying her cousins and aunts and uncles. We are both so excited! We took off this morning on our adventure so prayers for travel mercies would be appreciated. We all know how well my travel plans usually go! LOL! But I got being sick over with this week (and almost have my voice back!!) and other than a little bit later departure than I wanted we are off to a strong start! ;)
