Day at the beach

So I know my focus around here has been on this moving thing...it has been kind of a big deal and is an important part of our lives right now.  (Even though Brooke doesn't know a thing about it!  LOL!)  But, I wanted to shift focus a bit and put the spotlight back on sharing something happy...something I am incredibly grateful for every single day!  Her name is Brooke Johanna and you might have seen her around these parts before!

This last weekend was a busy one for us.  We had a huge garage sale Thursday, Friday and Saturday, as well as a few big projects going on at work, a few consulting project deadlines looming, a Theta Phi Advisory Board meeting, church...and the list goes on!  However, we have been trying to get together with friends and make time for fun too.  And in that regard, this weekend was a success!  :)  In between the busy-ness, we made time to drive up to South Dakota and visit some of our dear friends Carrie and Mady.  These girls are sweet, sweet, sweet!  :)  We only had a few hours together so we took the girls to the beach at Lewis and Clark Lake in Yankton and let them play in the water and sand (which, as a side note, makes for some great Mommy talking time!!) and then went out for dinner.  My friend Carrie, well, she is a VERY talented photographer and I am so grateful that she always has her camera with her because she caught some pretty amazing pictures and I just HAVE to share!  (NOTE: I would totally share some of the cute candids I caught on my, ahem...phone, but they so pale in comparison so we will stick with these!)
